Lee Tiger cause of death, age, wife, children, net worth
Lee Tiger, a Grammy-nominated musician, and environmentalist who helped shape the Native rock movement in the 1960s and 1970s died on January 5, 2023, in Davie, Florida, after a long illness. He was 72.
Tiger, the son of the Miccosukee’s first chief when the tribe broke from the Seminole, played with the band Seven of Us (later known as NRBQ) in Los Angeles before forming Tiger Tiger with his brother Stephen in the 1960s.
Tiger defied prejudices about Native artists, as the brothers shared the stage alongside Jimi Hendrix, Muddy Waters, the Grateful Dead, and Johnny Winter.
The Tiger brothers “were artists who happened to be Native Americans,” Lee Tiger told the New Times Broward-Palm Beach in 2015.
